Vasundhara Raje meets her supporters on Wednesday

JAIPUR: Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje has received a massive welcome in Banswara and Udaipur on Day 2 of the four-day tour in Udaipur division on Wednesday. Raje, who is calling her tour a pilgrimage, is sending a political message by reaching out to party leaders and drawing huge crowds at possible places. The tour has no sanction from the state BJP unit and party leaders are playing it down by calling it a personal visit.
She is carefully addressing the crowd by showing concern and wishing them a good life. “It’s been two years that I have come to this place. I have come to pray for the prosperity of the state and its citizens. The Covid period has been very hard on all of us and we will again rise from the situation together,” said Raje at Jhadol in Udaipur.
At every place, she is spending time meeting people at the places they are gathering. She is almost allowing everyone to take selfies, accepting greetings and holding personalised discussions with few to leave an impact on the crowd.
MLA Sanganer Ashok Lahoti along with Udaipur MP Arjun Lal Meena were among the leaders present in Udaipur. On expected lines, Kataria remained absent. She offered condolences to the family of former MLA Rajsamand Kiran Maheshwari at her residence.
